Scented Writing | Lifelines

CHALLENGE:

Create a scented writing system where color, scent, and touch work together intuitively. Each tool needed to feel expressive and playful while remaining functional for everyday use, with a cohesive system that still allowed each scent its own personality.

PROCESS:

The collection was designed as a multi-sensory system, pairing color, surface design, and fragrance across tools. Lava liquid and ink colors were developed for the Lava Pens to align visual movement, writing performance, and scent. Surface designs and color palettes for the pencils, markers, and highlighters use illustration and pattern to express fragrance character, while the scents themselves were developed to closely match color. Together, the elements create a playful, cohesive writing experience that feels intentional and intuitive.
