Flameless Candle Diffuser | Lifelines

CHALLENGE:

Create a modular candle vessel system that feels warm, soft, and elevated while being produced in plastic. The goal was to translate the visual and tactile qualities of matte ceramic and translucent glass into manufacturable finishes that feel intentional, cohesive, and natural in a home environment.

PROCESS:

I developed the color, material, and finish direction from the ground up, creating custom resin chips to achieve a soft translucency that diffuses light without looking synthetic. Surface textures were inspired by ceramic finishes and tuned to feel calm and tactile in hand. Color palettes were built with subtle tonal variation to add depth across forms, allowing each piece to stand on its own while working together as a cohesive system.
